When Helping You Purchase A New Home
When I work with buyers, the process begins by identifying your needs. This starts by my listening to your requests, ideas and objectives.
I will do a solid, properly critical, objective analysis in order to help you find your dream home in Edina, Southwest Minneapolis, the Minneapolis lakes area or the Southwest Minneapolis metro suburbs. When I help you in your home search, you can be assured your home search will be thorough and successful.
I work with many homebuyers who have purchased a home before, and also with first-time homebuyers. For first-time homebuyers, I offer and frequently conduct first-time homebuyer seminars and frequently go through these same homebuying techniques with people who have bought multiple times. In a constantly changing market, it is always necessary to remain sharp in perspective and strategy. In many cases, a home purchase is the largest and most important investment you will make. My homebuying motto: Do it right the first time.
I can also make homes available to you before they go public on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service). These are called 'prelists.' I have two large networks. One consists of realtor friends (with other brokerages) in the area and the other is a network called 'Network One', which is an internal, electronic posting site at Edina Realty, exclusive to Edina Realty agents.
The real advantage is in a market where there is a lot of inventory, but not a lot of great inventory. When the nice listings go on the market, they usually sell right away, sometimes in multiple offers. The advantage to viewing a prelist is that you have the opportunity to view the listing (sometimes weeks in advance) and decide to make an offer before the listing is made available to the public.
This is a very real and great advantage!
